A Ring Trial (interlaboratory comparison) in the field of disease diagnostics represents a systematic evaluation of the performance of different laboratories through the analysis of identical, standardized samples. It aims to assess the reproducibility, accuracy, and interlaboratory concordance of diagnostic methods used to detect a specific disease.
Our laboratory participated in a Ring Trial evaluation of the RT-QuIC diagnostic test, organized by the National Reference Center for TSEs, University Medical Center Göttingen, and achieved an excellent result, with 100% concordance with the reference data. This outcome confirms the high accuracy, reliability, and professional standard of our diagnostic procedures.
